News about the Geely

Geely Emgrand EV8 MPV will be launched in the second half of this year. The Emgrand EV8 debuted on the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show. The Emgrand EV8 will be powered by a Mitsubishi-sourced 2.4 liter petrol engine with 162hp, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Price likely to start somewhere around 100.000 yuan.

The facelifted Geely Emgrand EC7 will debut on the 2014 Beijing Auto Show later this month and launch on the China car market in the second half of the year. The facelift includes new headlights, new rear lights, a new grille, new bumpers, and an updated interior.

From this series of pictures can be seen changes of the upgraded Geely GX7 There is new grille, fog lights, and new vertical taillights. The interior changes are not so great: added more chrome trim, leather seats with red stitching. 2.0L 6AT model will be equipped with cruise control system.

Geely Automobile has announced that it's changing brand strategy and will cancel sub-brands Emgrand, Gleagle, and Englon within this year. The sub-brands appeared in 2009 to increase sales.

Spy photos of the new sedan Geely Emgrand EC9 were published. The car is now undergoing road tests in China. The model is based on Geely KC Concept, and should be officially presented later this year.

There are a lot of new photos of an updated Geely SC5 hatchback on the Chinese sites. The model will be officially presented at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2014. In May it will be on sale. SC5 received a new grille, bumper, fog lights and completely updated interior.
